Fun Sleep Facts
Sharks have to keep moving water over their gills to breathe. In order to do this, some sharks need to continue swimming while they are sleeping.
Some penguins in cold regions sleep standing up so that their feet are the only part touching the icy ground.
Koalas sleep almost all day long and eat leaves at night. They like to sleep on the fork of their tree and hold on with their feet.
Dinosaurs probably did sleep. Scientists believe that plant-eating dinosaurs, such as the brontosaurus, spent more of their day eating and less time sleeping. Since the brontosaurus has four legs, it is more likely that they slept standing up.
